JoLyn is a Christian children's author who delights in sharing God's love through imaginative and meaningful stories. Her debut book, Mr. Ugly and the Terrible Raid, takes young readers on adventures that inspire kindness and a deeper relationship with God.Raised in Oklahoma, JoLyn is a US Navy military wife and pilot's wife. She homeschooled her four children-experiences that have strengthened her faith and shaped her heart for families. In addition to these joys, JoLyn and her husband have endured the profound loss of their oldest son, a tragedy that has deepened her compassion and commitment to sharing hope and healing through her writing.When she's not writing, JoLyn enjoys traveling with her husband, camping, riding on the back of their motorcycle, and singing praise and worship. She believes stories are powerful tools to help children discover their identity in Christ and their special place in God's story. Ali is an award winning photographer and self taught artist. Mr. Ugly and the Terrible Raid is her first published book as an illustrator. She has 4 wonderful children and has been married to a Navy sailor for almost 20 years in which she went on many adventures to places like Italy and San Diego. In her free time she plays guitar and loves to sing! She is currently writing and illustrating her own children's book that will be available later this year. She loves to go fishing, and enjoys cooking, gardening, and show tunes, but most of all Jesus.
